Trickling flies on the rise - combat
A not so well-known mosquito species is on the rise - it is also called sewage fly or trickle fly.
Yesterday I discovered the first trickle flies in the laundry room. They are not fast, so there were some spontaneous murders in the basement.
But you have to fight these insects at the place of origin, otherwise the development speed quickly returns to normal.
Clean siphons, overflows and floor drains, possibly fight with Neem. Check rain barrels. There are natural insecticides to fight on a neem basis.
