Tulips fresh longer
After purchase cut the tulips with a thin knife below the head about 5mm. Then put in the water normally. The tulips last longer.
nevio: maybe one more suggestion: if I daffodils or easter bells with tulips in the vase * mixed * would like to have, I put an extra container (marmelade jar or the like) in the vase. vase-in-vase, so to speak. fill both with more or less water. In the jam I put a variety of cut flowers, in the larger vase then comes the second kind cut flowers all around. so I can put both types of flowers, at least visually in * a * vase on the table. if you dab the flower heads that are in the smaller, inner vase a little apart, you do not even suspect something of the inner life of the larger, outer vase.
