Avoid the risk of injury from cutlery in the dishwasher
Do not put cutlery in the dishwasher basket upside down. So with the knife and fork tips pointing upwards.
It is recommended again and again, usually directly from the machine manufacturer. But I think that's as unnecessary as it is dangerous. Since I once quite evil in a sharp knife blade that has been put in the cutlery basket as recommended, I make sure that everything is put in with the cutting and fork tips down. And my cutlery is just as clean as before. It makes no difference in the cleaning effect.
