Buckwheat groats - easy and cheap
Time
Total preparation time: 20 min.
When I saw through my basic food yesterday, I noticed a packet of buckwheat groats in my hands and I looked right here at FM, what makes her so, found nothing.
That surprised me already, because it is a very nutritious dish, really cheap, good filling and absolutely easy to cook. It can be made sweet and savory and can be used as a main course, side dish and dessert.
Buckwheat groats you can find next to the organic shops, health food shops quite normal with the nutrients in the supermarket. Buckwheat are gluten-free.
Here is a basic recipe, just to try it out and maybe you'll get the taste:
One counts as "pi mal thumbs", per cup of buckwheat groats, the 2 - 2.5 times the amount of water, milk or broth. That depends on the width of your cooking pot. I usually take a milkpot for it.
As the buckwheat groats are already cleaned today, the extensive washing of the grains is eliminated.
Pour a cup of buckwheat porridge into a pot and pour 2 - 2.5 cups of water afterwards, stir it a bit, then boil the buckwheat porridge and simmer for 15 - 20 minutes at the lowest temperature.
Then portion the finished Grützmasse in deep plates, put a few butterflakes on it and provides for self-serving, for example. brown sugar, cinnamon-sugar mixture, household sugar, whole milk, buttermilk, or sour fruit compote on the table.
The recipe is for 2 - 4 people, depending on whether it is considered as dessert or main course.
An ideal dish for the tight purse! Buckwheat groats should not be missing in any household shelf.
