Check carotid artery over 50

I do not want to scare anyone, but if a doctor had not accidentally discovered my occluded carotid artery, I could not give anyone this life-saving tip.

You do not notice, it's a slow process that gets the vessels stuffed. The reasons are many and it does not hurt.

An ultrasound exam that my cardiologist took as a precautionary measure found that my carotid artery was 90 percent dense. In a complex surgery, the deposits were removed and I need for the time being not afraid of stroke or other sequelae. Every year I go to the ultrasound and until now everything is free.

It makes sense to ask your doctor about such an investigation, especially if you are a smoker or have problems with the fat metabolism.

Such a simple investigation can save lives.

The two photos show my neck after surgery and today, a few years later, except for a thin scar, nothing more to see.
