- Put a flat plate with a slight depression with baking paper ...
- Put a slice of middle aged to old Gouda in the middle (Parmesan or other not too young high fat cheese will go too).
- Sprinkle the cheese with either paprika or chilli powder or cumin or coarsely ground white pepper or roasted onions (even mixed or ready-bought) or finely chopped garlic or whatever else you can think of.
- Put the plate with the cheese in the microwave at 900 watts for 2 minutes.
- Wait one minute after removing from the microwave, remove the cheese from the baking paper and place on a paper towel for final cooling.
- Tastes great as a crunch with many soups, or in the evening while watching TV for a beer.
