Clean fittings
Faucets shine and become sparkling when cleaned with nail polish remover.
Recently, after wiping my nails, I still had a used cotton ball with nail polish remover and wiped the tap off. The shine was really great and I was able to plaster the deposits around the faucet without difficulty.
This cleanliness / shine lasted for almost a whole week. Now I've bought quite cheap nail polish remover and clean so bath and kitchen fittings without difficulty and time. Whether nail polish with or without acetone you have to find out yourself.
