Color eggs - patterned
Of course it is nothing new to color Easter eggs with onion skins. But this method is a little different.
Here comes the onion scarf kidney trick: super easy, the result amazing.
You need:
- white raw eggs
- red and brown onion peels - for 6 eggs. Peels of about 600 g onions
- Nets of vegetables and fruits
- Elastikgummis
- a pot of water for cooking
That is how it goes:
The onion skins are laid on the eggs at irregular intervals and fixed with the nets. That is, the nets are stretched tight around the eggs and tied with an elastic rubber.
Then cook the eggs for 10 minutes and then remove the peels. Every egg looks different.
There are quite interesting patterns, depending on how you put the bowls on the eggs. They become reddish with red bowls, guess.
Brown shells make yellow to brown eggs. That makes fun even for small children!
