Decorate pies with patterns - with strips of paper, circles ...

If you want to decorate pies pretty, this is certainly with cream swabs, sugar, fruit pieces and all the various ready Dekos, which can be purchased. But if you just do not have these ingredients in the house and the cake "on top" looks pretty pale, you can manage well by placing narrow strips of paper (eg from the shredder) at regular intervals on the cake and then cocoa powder is sifting over the cake. Then carefully remove the paper strips and you have already made a grid pattern as the pastry chef. Of course, you can hang the paper strips irregularly, then creates an abstract pattern. Of course it is also possible to cut out a circle from a sufficiently large piece of paper, to fold it and to cut in patterns with the pair of scissors - as we did when we were children -. Then cocoa powder over it and the individual cake decoration is ready. For dark cakes, of course, it makes sense to use powdered sugar. There are no limits to the imagination and one or the other piece of paper can certainly be used for a "decorative" purpose.
