Egg substitute for baking and cooking - 7 alternatives (vegan)
People who do not want to eat eggs, or have forgotten to shop, can use good egg alternatives.
Here is a small selection of alternatives that can be used:
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds soaked in 3 tablespoons water replaced 1 egg
- 2 tsp of starch and 3 tsp of water will replace 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons applesauce replaces 1 egg
- 1/2 banana crushed replaced 1 egg
- 1 tsp no egg and 2 tsp water mixed replaced 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons baking soda with 2 teaspoons water and 1 teaspoon oil replaced 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon of flaxseed mixed with 4 tsp of water replaced 1 egg
