Decreasing is too tight? The solution!

My problem is that the chained stitches are much narrower compared to the rest of the knit. Especially with towels that are still stretched, this is a real problem. The solution:

Outline: Knit two stitches out of each stitch (right stitches)

Back row: left stitches

Repeat both rows so that you have four times the number of stitches at the end.

Then bind off. Admittedly, this takes forever, especially with towels. But the effort is worth it. The risk that the edge is too far and maybe something ruffled, I like to go with towels.

In sweaters or similar (which is not tense), I double once every 2nd stitch. Or I knit the last RR with two needle sizes larger and chain with this too.
