Mirabelle brandy

Hello moms and dads,

Here is my first tip.

Two years ago, our mirabelle plum bore so much fruit that I did not know what to do with it.
Made marmalade (enough for years) cakes, muffins, etc. Neighbors supplied, still full. For info a Mirabelle shrub can be up to 8 m high. I then approached a colleague who has always brought a delicious plum brandy. And here is the recipe:

Several preserving jars (preserving jar of storage jar with clip closure, 3 liters, we got at Real)

Per glass 2.5 kg of mirabelle, 500 g of sugar candy and 2 L of schnapps (fruit brandy, gin, we have also used vodka is the best arrived).

Core the mirabelles, place in the glass, add the sugar and then the alcohol. Store the mixture for 8 weeks in a dark place (best cellar). Occasionally shake the glasses to mix the ingredients again. Then fill the liqueur with a filter (large coffee filter) in bottles. These bottles need another 4-6 weeks in the basement. And then cheers!

A dear neighbor of ours, to whom we have given a bottle, presented these three days later outside the door with the remark "Please refill, my wife drank it and I got nothing."

I do not have a picture at the moment, but in the cellar is the next round (then I take pictures), neighbors and friends have already registered
