Delicious Salzburg dumplings

Salzburger Nockerl are a delicious dessert and quickly prepared.

Normally they are formed into mountains, which is not so easy and requires a lot of practice (I have not been so successful), but since I still do not want to give up the delicious dumplings, I do it quite normally in the casserole dish and taste they are the same, mountains or flat.

Ingredients for 2 persons

  • 7 egg whites
  • 70 g of sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 20 g of flour
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • Butter for painting the mold
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

preparation

  1. The egg whites are beaten with the mixer and gradually added to the sugar. The egg whites must be beaten to a very firm snow.
  2. Now stir in the vanilla sugar, flour and egg yolks.
  3. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees.
  4. Brush a baking dish well with butter, may be a bit more, and always put some of the mass in the casserole next to each other. If you can do it, you can place mountains next to each other with the aid of a dough map, and you can be up high.
  5. The whole thing now wanders for 9 - 10 minutes in the oven and is dusted immediately with powdered sugar.

Please enjoy the same, they taste the best. With berry mixture or apple sauce.

The rest of the egg yolk can also be frozen well. I used it for baking.
