Eggs in spicy sauce
This dish comes from Indonesia, my mother brought it from there. It's called Sambel gorang telor.
Ingredients for 4 servings:
4 hard-boiled eggs
1 onion
1 clove of garlic
1 red pepper pod
2 tablespoons of tomato juice
1 bay leaf
1 tablespoon of tomato juice
Lemon peel
1 pinch of sugar
oil
Slice the onion and clove of garlic, finely chop the pepper with the bay leaf and the lemon zest in the mortar and lightly fry everything together with an oil of EL. Add the halved eggs, soy sauce, tomato juice, salt, pepper and sugar and cook over moderate heat for a few minutes. This fits best rice.
