Jasmine rice with onion and tuna sauce

I ate today with a colleague from China this jasmine rice with onion-tuna sauce and the recipe written down for you immediately. Goes fast and is very good in taste. Could it also be very good with some chili.

ingredients

For two hungry eaters:

  • 250 g jasmine rice
  • 2 larger onions
  • 200 ml of coconut milk
  • 2 slices of pineapple, maybe more, as you like it
  • 1 can of tuna in oil
  • 50 ml vegetable broth
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1 tbsp walnut oil
  • 1 tbsp curry powder
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • Salt to taste
  • white pepper to taste

preparation

  1. Cook jasmine rice as usual and keep warm if necessary.
  2. Clean onion and halve lengthwise, then cut into thin half slices.
  3. Drain the tuna. Mix flour and curry.
  4. Measure 200 ml of coconut milk. If you put the can in hot water for a few minutes before opening and then shake well, a can of coconut milk is very easy to split.
  5. Cut the pineapple slices into small pieces.
  6. Heat the butter and oil and fry the onions, add the tuna and also fry. Sprinkle the flour-curry mixture over it and roast a bit further.
  7. Then add the broth and the coconut milk and simmer.
  8. At the end add the pineapple and warm.
  9. Season with salt and white pepper.
  10. Butter a bowl, press the rice into the bowl and drop it onto a plate. Serve the sauce around and serve immediately.

I enjoyed it wonderfully, I can imagine very well to use curry paste and or to process chilli.
