Water / oil cake - guaranteed suitable for beginners

The recipe:

  • 300 g of sugar
  • 350 g of flour
  • 150 ml of lukewarm water
  • 300 ml neutral oil (sunflower or vegetable oil)
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 vanilla sugar
  • 1 baking powder

Preparation:

All this is simply stirred together, filled into a greased and crumbled form and baked at 180 ° for about an hour.

Now you can also vary this cake dough:

  1. Fill half of the dough into the mold and stir in 2 teaspoons of cocoa under the second half. Pure cocoa, not the infusion drink! Pour the dark half over the light and just let it sink in.
  2. Or toss a handful of raisins into some flour and mix that with the dough.
  3. Or you can paint the dough on a baking tray and cover it with apple or almond flakes - this shortens the baking time. Watch out!
  4. Or you can make muffins out of it.

The cake stays fresh for a very long time, but you can also freeze it well.

A wonderful dessert is:

Soak a slice of the cake with liqueur (cherry-egg creme liqueur, etc.)

Put a scoop of ice cream on it, add a little whipped cream, maybe a few more berries and then enjoy!
