Green, flat, broad beans - easy to prepare

My 2.5 year old daughter loves this bean dish. It is not only easy to prepare, but also vegan, healthy and delicious.

ingredients for 4 persons

  • olive oil
  • about 1 kg of green, flat, broad beans
  • 1 vegetable onion
  • 2 large cans of peeled whole tomatoes
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • salt

preparation

  1. First, remove the ends of the beans, and then either break the beans into bite-sized pieces, or cut them. (I break her because my daughter really likes to help me).
  2. Dice the onion. Heat olive oil and onion cubes in a large saucepan and fry, add the beans after approx. 2 minutes and steam with stirring for approx. 5 minutes.
  3. Tomatoes, 1 teaspoon of sugar and salt (as desired, I take about 2 tablespoons) add to the onion-bean mixture and simmer on medium heat until the beans are soft. Stir occasionally.

Tastes best with baguette or rice. Good Appetite.

Of course you can experiment with other spices, but it tastes "pure" the best.
