Coffee against nicotine smell in books
Anyone who buys or buys second hand books often knows the problem that books from a smoker's household often smell strongly of cigarette smoke. Since I've known coffee powder for a long time as a smell killer, I have now tried this with a book. I put the book in a bag with a small bowl of coffee powder and closed it with a clip. After a few hours, the smell was gone. Incidentally, this also works with coffee granules for soluble coffee.
