Best place an apple with a bowl on the console or shelf in the car. Also goes with two small apples on the back shelf.
The apple sells the smoke smell almost completely. It lasts about 1 week, then exchange apple. Cut off the peel from the "used" apples and use it as food for hamsters & co.
At home too, I occasionally put an apple in the living room so it smells pleasant. Just not near flowers, otherwise they wilt faster. Also good if you are traveling and do not want to keep the window open all day. The apartment smells pleasantly fresh.
