Make good use of books

On principle, I never throw books away. But it can happen that I just have to "muck out" and then I think about how I give the books as meaningful as possible. Here are the options that I (for free pass) use and possibly my comment.

a) Wait for the next (parish) flea market and donate there ... certainly useful, but often the books are not sold in the end and migrate forced (no storage capacity) in the trash, flea markets are only in the summer.

b) Open bookcases ... are here and probably in almost all major cities. Since you can put in public "cabinets" books and also free to remove.

c) Facebook ... there are various groups, here it says "Vienna is giving away" something similar can be found in other cities.

d) Give away Internet bazaar sites, in Ö it says Willhaben.at.

e) Give it to the school library or to the kindergarten. If you have kids of that age and know the facilities, it's probably a good idea, depending on the book title.

f) Hand in the nursing home.

g) Offer to the museum. Depending on the age of the book consistently a possibility, the happy and pick it up.

Of course, this list is renewable, what else do you have for suggestions?
