Orchids Care: Dipping orchids in rainwater

Actually I was always afraid to take care of an orchid until I got the first one 3 years ago, of course a phaleanopsis. Thanks to TheFruitAndFlowerBasket, she also held out. At that time there was 1 egg cup of tap water every 2 weeks.

Now I bought the second orchid, the egg cup was not enough, the water ran through and the first leaf became powerless. Now it started with Internet search ... Success ... since my 6 Orchis are dipped in rainwater every 2 weeks. So that no waterlogging arises, the Orchis stand in windlight vessels on expanded clay. Why? Every now and then, the expanded clay gets some water and the plants humid climate ... they stand with me on the windowsill above the heater.

My last acquisition was at a discount store. With A ... there she was in a soggy moss ... I've repotted her, in spite of blooms, which are now drying up ... hopefully I can save her. So, those were my first experiences with Orchis ... I have now got a fragrant Cambria (stands on the pot) ... today was bathing day again ...
