Overview in the freezer
Completely forgotten, outdated or difficult to find are often the frozen remains of vegetables, meat side dishes or already prepared dishes.
With my current method, it does not happen to me anymore:
The covers of all existing freezer boxes were numbered by me (with a permanent marker), which can be extended at any time. Likewise, the pages of a ring binder folder in the format Din A 5.
Now I use, e.g. just the box with the lid 18, the date and the contents are entered on the corresponding page in the ring binder.
As soon as I take a can out of the freezer, I paint the entry. If the ring binder page is full, it will be replaced.
This way, I do not have to search long with the freezer door open, but know what is left or what should be used urgently, do not have to bother with peeling off adhesive labels or removing lid labels.
