A light summer dish that is prepared quickly and can be prepared very well: baked pork steak goes Italy - with mozzarella and tomato.

On hot days, I like to prepare our daily food early in the morning, so that in the late afternoon we only have to bake or heat it.

This dish is also ideal for expected guests, because it must be baked later only in the oven.

ingredients

For 4 people:

  • 1 kg steaks of pork or pork
  • 4-6 cocktail tomatoes
  • 2 balls mozzarella (finer with buffalo mozzarella)
  • basil
  • Oil / butter for frying
  • Salt, coarse pepper, chilli flakes
  • Italian herbs from the spreader
  • Tomato pesto or tapenade

Marinade:

  • 2-3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

preparation

  1. The marinade is made from the ingredients, the back steaks are marinated overnight, for at least 3 hours.
  2. Heat butter and oil in a pan.
  3. Sauté the drained steaks from both sides.
  4. Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
  5. Slice tomatoes and mozzarella (if possible) into thin slices (Mozzarella can be easily frozen very well cut into thin slices., I had this time unfortunately not considered).
  6. Remove the steaks from the pan, cover with mozzarella and tomatoes, sprinkle with coarse pepper and Provencal herbs.
  7. Add to the preheated oven until the cheese starts to melt.

Refine with a dollop of tomato pesto or tapenade and basil before serving.

In addition there is a colorful salad with fresh spinach, herbs, lentils, 1/2 snake cucumber, 1 red onion, tomatoes and a grated carrot. The salad dressing I prepare from honey, herbal vinegar, 100 ml vegetable broth, paprika, salt, pepper, 1 teaspoon mustard and rapeseed oil.

Oven-fresh olives ciattatta completes the summer dinner.
