Homemade and original cookbook
This tip is about an original and homemade cookbook as a gift for the mother-in-law.
My husband comes from Berlin and his parents are still living there. I am "a really kölsches girl" and again and again my husband and I realize that there are dishes in the region that he did not know before and vice versa, he asks me for dishes that I did not know so far.
It gave me a nice idea as a gift for the mother-in-law and I just started, when I prepared typical regional dishes, to later get a picture of how it is served on the plate. In addition, I sat down in peace and wrote down the recipes - just as I was preparing it.
Gradually, some dishes arose: Rhine Sauerbraten, Schlaberkappes, heaven and Äd, ne halve cock, Rievkoche, etc., but also classic, such as pasta with home-made Bolognese sauce, pea stew, some "home-style" as roulades with potatoes and salad or sausage with Potatoes and cauliflower and a few desserts.
In some cases I googled and looked, if I can find any background information, where the dish has its origin, etc. Then I have the ingredients and recipe instructions, as well as the appropriate photos (sometimes also, as the children me Cook or prepare helped) and put together in the copy shop in such a "ring binder".
The original gift for the mother-in-law was ready - no matter what the occasion.
