Potatoes do not germinate and last longer
Unfortunately, I do not have a cool dark room where I can store my potatoes. This storage is always recommended so that the potatoes can not form germs so quickly and keep them longer.
Instead, I keep mine in a cup in a cupboard in the kitchen. So far, I always had to consume the potatoes very quickly, which is not difficult with the many possible uses, but unfortunately I could only badly access special offers in larger quantities.
I then learned of a little trick that can delay the formation of the ugly "eyes": you just put an apple in the potato basket!
It actually takes 10 to 14 days for the first germs to form! It really works, the potatoes in the picture are already 10 days in the basket and look great.
