Remove dried superglue from worktop

Recently I came up with the stupid idea to repair my bracelet with superglue over the new kitchen worktop "on the fast track". The tube had a hole and I ran a lot of glue on the plate. Unfortunately, I then had to go directly to work and could devote myself to the mishap only after hours.

I tried everything I could read here and was recommended to me by colleagues ...

Gasoline - nothing.
Sticker remover - nothing.
Water - nothing.
Dish soap - nothing.
Detergent with water - nothing.
Glass ceramic scraper - nothing but scratches.
Eraser - nothing.
Lighter fuel - nothing.
Hair dryer - nothing.
Nail polish remover - nothing.
Nail brush - nothing.

If I had operated a lighter, my kitchen would probably have gone up in flames from all the fumes. :-)

Since my last alternative would have been a new countertop, so I had nothing left to lose, I was quite courageous, and - in the absence of a sandpaper - sanded with the rough side of a pot sponge on it.

And what shall I tell you? Of course - the stains that leave the adhesive because its composition attacks the plastic, I could not undo it. But I got the glue removed without leaving any residue! And rather a few bright spots, which can be seen only from a certain angle, as bright spots with "superglue hood".

I was really desperate and my pot sponge saved me. I hope that this solution works for one or the other of you!
