Phone number claw - an experience

My mother does everything that is interesting. When her senior club had a visit to the Bavarian State Office for Criminal Investigation, she was there immediately. A group of 12 people met here in Munich at the LKA. When registering for the Senior Club, all interested parties had to give their name, address, telephone number and date of birth in advance, for security reasons.

It was a great guide. But not as my curious mother would have liked - the special rooms were not shown. There were films on DNA analysis, biometrics, micro trace analysis, font analysis and much more. And there was a talk about con artists and fraudulent phone calls. It was very interesting overall. A week later, the group met and there was shocking news. 3 of the LKA visitors had the week after Enkeltrick cheater on the phone, even my mother (I have reported here: //www.thefruitandflowerbasket.com/enkeltrick-bzw-neffentrick-telefonbetrug-bei-mutti-a48561/ )

Since the big speculation went off. Has someone in the LKA stolen the address list? Or already in the office of the senior club? How safe is data protection? One said, but every cleaning lady and every cleaning man can photograph instantaneously lists of addresses with the smartphone. Cleaning people often work alone in the offices after work.

I report about this experience my mother, because in my tip on the PayPal fraudster Blackbird1111 in the comment has written something interesting: The Telefonbetrüger? Has my phone number. We actually have a secret number, who knows where he fished it out. "There are probably very crooked ways to get at names, addresses and phone numbers, which are certainly not just computer-generated lists of phone books to cheat with. There are many other lists that you can sell well.

My tip: If you have to give name, address, telephone and e-mail address somewhere - always ask how the data protection is actually used. It is best to confirm this in writing.
