Potato against rust stains on almost all objects

The potato contains oxalic acid. This acid extracts oxygen from other substances while it oxidizes itself. Thus, it is suitable for removing rust spots.

I have rusted some items with the help of a potato: Among other things, the grate of the garden grill, which was unfortunately often exposed to the weather (rain), as well as the old pruning shears and a small side table in the garden, which was just too bad to throw it away.

For the application one cuts apart a larger potato in the middle and rubs off the rusty places carefully. Then polish thoroughly with a clean microfiber cloth. The process can also be repeated twice in difficult spots.

A very cheap and environmentally friendly method of rust stain removal that really helps.
