quince confection

A quince confection is something healthy to snack on cooked quince.

For all, to whom my poems are too exhausting, here is the prose version:

  • It takes 1 kg of quince (Turkish markets)
  • 800 ml of water
  • 70 g of sugar for quince

The final paste is needed again

  • 100 ml apple juice, 2 tablespoons lemon and 100 g sugar, some powdered sugar

preparation

Peel and chop the fruits without core casing.
Boil with the water in a saucepan over a low heat, they are even if you can easily crush them with a wooden spoon.

Mince with the electric stirrer bar or in the food processor to a Mus. This porridge is now mixed with 100 g of apple juice from the health food store, 100 g of sugar and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.

Back in the pot, stirring again, simmer gently until the mass is firm and you can lift them from the bottom of the pot.

Lay out a baking tray with parchment paper, spread the rather firm quince paste on it.

When the paste has cooled, you can cut out cubes and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

And now I express myself poetically:

This delicious sweetmeat
I discovered in France
a grandma in Bordeaux
showed me: that's what you do!

You need nice yellow quince
these are cut through
then peeled and soft-boiled
so far everybody liked it.

Water, sugar, comes to it
this mus burns in no time!
So stir up the arm
cries full of pain for help
hope, family is ready!

Now this porridge is crushed -
not until it smokes -
our mus should be nice and smooth now
then fill in the following:
Apple syrup and lemon
also maybe lime
then the sugar at the end,
this mus must cook now.

Do you do something wrong,
then you cry at the stove
as I said, it's easy to burn
stir, if you can
nothing happens when pot is coated -
at least that is how it was reported!

If you already doze while stirring
suddenly the musl dissolves well
now it's a solid mass
after the trouble, that's the class!

On a baking sheet comes paper
the paste will be painted on it
when she gets cold and freezes
cuts shapes that are apart
Cube, lozenge or circle,
The confectionery tastes good with ice.

It's lightly sprinkled with powdered sugar
a present very pleased!
