Remove limescale in the toilet until under the edge

To easily remove limescale deposits in the toilet even below the edge, this tip helps:

It is required:

  • 2-3 balloons (if the first does not fit)
  • 1-2 m string
  • 1 liter of 80% acetic acid, food grade E260
  • warm / hot water

That's how it's done:

  1. Just stuff a slightly inflated balloon into the drain so that it can not float. If it floats, push it deeper into the siphon or try with a slightly less inflated balloon.
  2. It is best to attach a cord to the balloon hub so that it can not be disposed of into the canal at the end but into the correct waste.
  3. Then fill the toilet bowl to near the edge with hot water.
  4. Now just 1 liter of 80% acetic acid, food grade E260 fill.
  5. At the limescale you will now recognize a bubbles and a bubbling.
  6. Possibly. Fill with warm water until the toilet is full. So the WC is also descaled and cleaned under the flushing rim.
!! CAUTION !! Make sure that the rinse is tight and does not run. Best turn off. Otherwise, the toilet overflows over time.
  7. The whole time over night or a day so leave. It's best if you do shopping or something similar.
  8. Then burst the balloon with a sharp object, discard the balloon and rinse with water.
  9. If there are any leftover residues, they can now be easily removed.

The toilet is then again lime-free and looks like new.
