Sangria - the original

Here is our favorite sangria recipe:

3-4l red wine, semi-dry, about 2-3 € / bottle
1 / 2l orange juice, a little lemon juice
2 untreated oranges / lemons in slices

Put everything in a bucket or glass bowl, season with a sugar / cinnamon mixture (at least 5 tablespoons) or sugar + 2 cinnamon sticks and leave overnight. Serve with at least 1 bag of ice cubes, rather more, and long straws.

To taste and house bar supply a bit of white rum or orange liqueur (for example Cointreau, very delicious!) Are added, even a few apple pieces or a sip of apple juice can not hurt.

Tip: On hot days, it may be worthwhile, instead of adding the orange juice immediately, freezing the whole pack (1l) and adding the giant ice cube about an hour before serving. Remnants of the Sangrias can be frozen and serve as ice cubes for the next mix (even bought Sangria is quite good, if the Alk is already partly gone).
