So fits more in the garbage can and you can save money

We live in an apartment building and have a garbage bin for all residents. In particular, at the Christmas time, of course, no one wants to have garbage in his apartment. You can see one or the other neighbor walking up and down with big boxes and so on and then in the bin - where you can look inside - find out that big boxes are not made small or are not made with paper or so, but like that as they were disposed of and thus a lot of space in the garbage bin is given away.

In order to raise awareness and allow more waste to fit into the bin in the future, we have set up an "initiative" and, together with other neighbors, invited all house residents to take a closer look at the subject of garbage.

We explained it there first, because we knew from the last billing, how much extra costs it makes per tenant that the garbage is picked up weekly and no longer every 14 days. (That's a lot of money!)

Then we showed how we put rubbish in each other. For example, we put an empty yogurt cup in an empty margarine box, depending on the film. Empty yoghurt pots, when they have the same shape, we put together, instead of putting each yoghurt cup in the bag and take so much more space.

We either make a large box of a package small and fold it apart or collect waste paper in the box to make the best possible use of the volume.

Since most neighbors have dealt with it, it works great and we now come back with a 14-day pick-up of garbage cans.
