I had this birthday cake - a fruity Windbeuteleltorte - baked for my husband on Sunday and they all tasted great - here is the recipe!

The preparation is simple and fast, but please do not forget that the cake needs 4 hours in the fridge to become firm! Also, do not be afraid of the use of gelatin, even if it would not quite dissolve (which is guaranteed not to happen), then you would not notice that in the red groats. For the cake itself you need 2 packages á 250 g of the mini Sahnewindbeutel. At real there was this á 300 g, so I still had some left for decoration (... and for snacking, ha-ha). Have fun baking!

ingredients

  • 70 g of chocolate of your choice, grated or chopped
  • 100 g soft butter
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 100 g flour mixed with 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 100 g of sliced ​​almonds
  • 4 tbsp rum
  • 2 pack. 250g (or 300g each, if you want to decorate the cake with it)
  • 4 sheets of red (or white) gelatine
  • 50 ml white wine
  • 500 g red grits (finished product)
  • 300 g of cream
  • 1 pck of vanilla sugar
  • maybe a disposable piping bag

preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 180 °.
  2. Beat butter and sugar until frothy.
  3. Stir in the eggs one at a time, then fold in the flour with the baking powder, the pinch of salt, chocolate and almonds.
  4. Bake the dough in a baking tin (26 cm) lined with baking paper for about 25 minutes and allow to cool slightly.
  5. Soak the still slightly warm cake with rum.
  6. Place cake on a plate, close a cake ring around it and cover with the frozen windbags.
  7. Soak the gelatine leaves in cold water.
  8. Heat the wine, then squeeze out the now slack gelatin by hand and dissolve in the wine, then stir everything under the groats.
  9. Put the mass on the puffs and let it solidify in the fridge for about 4 hours.
  10. Beat the cream with vanilla sugar until stiff, put some in a piping bag and spread the rest on top of the cake.
  11. Put cream on the cake and garnish with chocolate or mini-windbags.
