Soft toys and stuffed animals donate, but where to go?

I was reminded by a TV show that some time ago I had helped a friend "erase" her rather extensive collection of stuffed animals.

The favorite pieces were kept, but for the other disused stuffed animals, after they were thoroughly washed and dried, a meaningful use sought. But that was not as easy as I thought to donate.

Many phone calls were unsuccessful. Neither hospitals nor kindergartens or kindergartens are interested in them, partly for reasons of hygiene, partly because they are already suffocating in stuffed animals. We also heard from the parish and the usual charitable organizations, "no, thank you," even at the Social Department Store. There is a general oversupply of plushis, we heard.

Selling is of course always an option, so ebay or flea market, but my girlfriend did not want. Finally, we were still successful and that at the shelter. The leader told us that they sometimes use the animals as cuddly toys for pet animals, so they can snuggle up, just like us humans. Partly the animals can also live out their aggression on the stuffed animals, so if you really want your stuffed animal to have a long life, this tip may not be for you.

Another alternative we heard was the local carnival club. The throw then the stuffed animals during the carnival parades among the people, so the children. If anyone has hands-on experience of where to donate, always keep up with it.
