Spinach and smoked salmon sauce (very easy)

With this dish you can impress every guest, because of the salmon of the food something very noble!

ingredients

  • 150 g frozen leaf spinach (chopped or frozen - cut small with a sharp knife)
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1-2 tbsp olive oil
  • ¼ cream (milk is ok)
  • some herbal cream cheese or crème fraîche at will
  • Cut 100 g of smoked salmon into small strips
  • Pepper, salt, nutmeg to taste

Cut the onion into small cubes, mince garlic or crush in a garlic press and fry both in the pan with a little olive oil. Add the chopped spinach and simmer until the spinach is thawed. If the spinach touches the pan, just add a little (just a few tablespoons!) To add water.


Now add the cream to the spinach and refine with cream cheese or cream fraiche (depending on your taste). Add the shredded smoked salmon and only now season with spices, because the smoked salmon is pretty spicy. If the sauce is too thick, it can be diluted with a little milk.

Tip:

These include noodles, spaghetti or fusilli and a chilled dry white wine (eg Pinot Grigio or Chardonnay from ALDI)
