Steamed eggs - better than cooked

Time

Preparation time: 6 min.
Cooking or baking time: 6 min.
Total preparation time: 6 min.

Already Loriot asked indignantly if this was a random 6-minute egg. The perfect breakfast egg is theoretically simple to manufacture - why are there so many unpleasant surprises? Bursted eggs, over-boiled eggs - why-are-those-to-hard-eggs.

Anyway, my experiments with the perfect breakfast egg come to an end for me. I cook the eggs in the steam without an electric egg cooker.

I need a big pot and a strainer on which the eggs lie over the water surface. I put a finger of water in the pot and put the sieve on it and bring the water to a boil. I just made the rubber feet off a metal mat. If you do not have that, you can buy an adjustable strainer or steamer insert very cheaply in the household business. Then I lay the eggs, close the lid and after 6 minutes I have perfect breakfast eggs, the yellow still a little soft. I cook steamed eggs for 8 minutes in the steam.

Drain off, let run over cold water and done.
