Swabian Maultaschen Alsatian style

I could not decide if I fancied Maultaschen or Alsatian Tarte Flambée.

So the following "international" combination of both emerged:

Dumplings (for example from Bürger - are a good alternative to home-made) cut roughly into 9-12 cubes each and lightly fry in the pan with a little oil. In a second pan, fry onions and chopped ham or bacon and bring to a boil with diluted sour cream (1 cup of sour cream and 100 ml of water together).

Season with a little salt, pepper and parsley (if necessary also soup powder) and pour over the sautéed dumpling cubes. Let it rest briefly and serve.

The whole takes incl. Preparation about 10-12 minutes and is ratz-fatz on the table.

So dear Swabians: Enjoy your Maultaschen sometimes "multi-kulti".
And to our Alsatians: Your topping of Flammkuchens tastes great on an alternative basis!
