Throw away less schoolbreads

It is always very annoying when too much bagged school sandwiches are not consumed, but thrown away. But it is by no means immutable. I always give my children something more, since they always eat different amounts (yes, this is also the case with us adults).

I made it clear to my children that they should take too much rather than too little, not that they are running around with a growling stomach. But the following agreement must be kept: the school sandwiches are taken in breakfast bags. Everything that is not eaten will be placed in the fridge in the fridge after school. If I get hungry for a snack in the course of the day, I do not have to unpack everything again and make new sandwiches, but eat the leftover bread directly, save time and do not have to use the kitchen again and then put everything away. So I kill three birds with one stone: the children always have enough to eat with, nothing is thrown away and in between I have saved some time when I want to eat a small snack.

In the same way I do it with fruit and small bottles of water, what is left is clearly visible in the kitchen or fridge, so that it is drunk or eaten if necessary. It does not work immediately and always; It has also happened several times that a bread was forgotten for ages in the bag, the mold was of course corrosive. But with some practice, it actually works that the leftover food immediately ends up in the fridge.
