Time

Preparation time: 10 min.
Cooking or baking time: 10 min.
Total preparation time: 20 min.

The day before boiled potatoes and a few Merguez sausages (thin spicy minced meat sausage made from stewed lamb and beef seasoned with paprika, garlic, cumin (cumin), harissa, pepper and left over with fresh peppers, black and red beans the tin and a chili pepper became a hearty sausage goulash.

ingredients

  • Sausage! (Bratwurst, merguez, chorizo, meat sausage, boiled sausage ...)
  • 1-2 onions
  • little frying fat or oil
  • 1 chilli pepper (optional)
  • 1 can of black beans
  • 1 can of kidney beans
  • 1 can of pizza tomatoes
  • Salt, paprika powder
  • 1 cup vegetable broth

(The quantities are based on the amount of sausage available and can be changed (as well as the beans) to their own liking. Also handed the beans each have a medium-sized can.)

preparation

  1. Cut the sausages into thick slices.
  2. Peel and dice the onion (s).
  3. Cut the chili pepper lengthways, remove the cores and cut into fine rings (then wash hands thoroughly: fire hazard!)
  4. Put a little fat in a pan and brown the pieces of sausage (if they were fried the day before, just heat them up) with the onion cubes.
  5. In the meantime, clean the peppers, cut into thin strips.
  6. Heat vegetable stock in another pan.
  7. Cook the pepper strips in it.
  8. Add the beans and the pizza tomato and fold in the ingredients.
  9. Season with salt and plenty of paprika.
  10. Let it boil briefly (the peppers should still bite).
  11. Add the stewed sausage and mix all ingredients together.

Together with boiled potatoes or other "leftovers" such as rice or pasta, a cheap hearty dish is on the table, which works without much effort and with little ingredients.

Of course all preserves can be replaced by fresh products.
