Tomato sauce - sometimes a real one
Time
Total preparation time: 30 min.
If I read that way, which many refer to as tomato sauce, the toenails will pop up. A "real" tomato sauce is quite simple:
ingredients
- olive oil
- 1 onion
- 1 tin of pizza tomato (alternatively fresh, peeled tomatoes)
- 1 clove of garlic
- red wine
- balsamic vinegar
- Salt pepper
- fresh or dried herbs: oregano, sage, thyme, basil, possibly chilli and paprika
- sugar
- Possibly. tomato paste
preparation
- Sweat chopped onion in a little olive oil - do not fry. Then put a tin of pizza tomatoes on it (you can also take fresh, peeled tomatoes, but that makes little sense).
- Then a chopped garlic clove comes in - or two.
- A little red wine, a small shot of balsamic vinegar. Season with salt and pepper.
- Then - fresh or dried - herbs: oregano, sage, thyme and basil. Maybe - if you like - some more chili and a little paprika.
- Simmer well and season with a little sugar. If it is too thin then tie with 1 tbsp tomato paste - ready.
And how long do you need for the whole "work"? Not much longer than making a baguette sauce "edible" in flavor.
Also, that's not pure chemistry like from the glass, no flavor enhancer, no binder, no E-numbers.
