Upcycling: Wall decoration made of empty toilet paper rolls

Why always throw everything away when something nice can be made out of it. Empty toilet paper rolls are great for decorating a white wall.

In my household constantly empty toilet paper rolls or cardboard rolls of kitchen towels fall into the paper container. Then my child wanted to collect them in order to tinker with it. My child cut narrow strips off the roll, pasted paper under the floor, and then launched his small boats in the sink. From these cut strips can be tinker not only small children's boats, but even works of art for the wall.

Bastelanleitung:

First, the empty cardboard roll is freed from the paper scraps and then pressed flat. Depending on how wide the petal should be, press lightly (wide leaf) or press accordingly (narrow leaf). Using a ruler and pencil, mark 1 cm wide strips and cut with a pair of scissors or a craft knife. From an empty toilet roll I cut about 8-9 strips.

The elliptical strips can then be glued together to form a flower. For gluing I used white glue or a hot glue gun? both are good. Depending on the number of glued together leaves (5, 6 or 8 stripes), the result is a slightly different flower shape. Quite to taste, several equal or several flowers of different sizes can be put together to a mosaic. Then paint the entire work of art with acrylics or spray paint with spray cans and hang it on the wall.
