Washing thread curtains: plait & put in a pillowcase

Washing thread curtains is not that easy, that means washing already, but then the unraveling of the single threads is a time-consuming job that can only be done with a lot of patience (and often accompanied by ugly words).

Recently I was with acquaintances who also own such curtains. When I came to talk about the painstaking cleaning, my acquaintance said that it could just work, in the following way:

Combine several threadlines and braid braids. Then put the curtain in a pillow cover and wash. The unraveling is then easy, it is only the braids to unbundle.
