  • 1.2 - 1.5 kg High rib (let a butcher cut in the butcher!)
  • 1 apple
  • 150 g prunes
  • marjoram
  • Pepper salt
  • 2 tbsp rum

preparation

  1. Wash the meat and pat dry. All around and rub the bag well with salt.
  2. In a bowl the prunes (I cut them once), the cube or sliced ​​apple, marjoram and pepper, add salt and the rum and stir well. Then fill the bag and then sew or attach.
  3. Put the rib into the roasting pan and add some hot water. Then place in the preheated oven (180 ° C, middle rack or a little deeper) and leave the roast in the oven for 1.5 - 2 hours. In between turn over and over and over again with hot water (important!).
  4. If the roast is nice brown after the specified time, take it out. Pour the pan into a saucepan and prepare a sauce as desired.

These dumplings and red cabbage taste very good!
