A delicious dessert is always and is done quickly. This time it should be something with semolina and so I cooked a delicious Flammeri quickly and there is a warm cherry compote. Something like the whole family and especially for the children it is a fine treat.

Ingredients for 2 to 3 servings

  • 1/4 l of milk
  • 1 pck of vanilla sugar
  • 40 g of soft wheat semolina
  • 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 egg
  • some butter for the molds
  • about 20 g cornstarch
  • 1 glass of sour cherries

preparation

  1. First, I separate the egg, beat the egg white into stiff snow and put both - yolk and egg whites - aside.
  2. Then I put the milk in a pot and let it boil. With constant stirring, I now fill the semolina and let the mass boil briefly. The semolina is cooked in a few minutes.
  3. Now the pot is taken off the stove and sugar, vanilla sugar, the egg yolk and the egg whites are well stirred under the semolina mass.
  4. The Flammeri is now filled into a suitable bowl or buttered serving dish and kept cold for at least one hour.
  5. The cherries are put in a pot with their juice - some of the juice hold back - and brought to a boil. The retained juice is mixed with the cornflour and the cherries are now thickened with vigorous boiling and then immediately distributed hot on dessert plate.
  6. Briefly dip the serving bowls in hot water and then pour the semolina pudding onto the warm cherries and you're done with a simple, but certainly very delicious dessert that will taste good to everyone.

Have fun cooking and enjoy your meal.
