When the shoe pushes ...
It is clear that new shoes have to be "broken in". Annoying, if the shoe still squeezes uncomfortable after repeated wearing and let the day become long, because it hurts.
In a new shoe, a seam in the shoe uncomfortably squeezed on the side of the bale where the shoe kinks while walking. The attempt to soften the material by bending and tapping, unfortunately failed. Of course, these pair of shoes were not just my favorites ... Then I came up with the idea to stick the soft part of a hook and loop fastener (by the meter, self-adhesive) from the inside - and lo and behold: that works!
