Apple and almond and walnut cake

First of all, there is a similar cake here already, which is called "Swedish apple pie". But I assert my excels him by far. But decide for yourself!

Roughly grate 4 to 5 medium-sized, unpeeled apples, season with cinnamon and set aside.

For the dough:

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup of cream (200 ml)
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 pck of vanilla sugar
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 pck of baking soda
  • Cup from a lemon
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • (possibly 1 shot Amaretto, rum or similar)

For covering:

  • 150 g butter
  • 200 g almond flakes
  • 150 g walnut halves
  • 3/4 cup of sugar
  • 1 shot of milk or cream

preparation

  1. Beat eggs, cream, sugar and vanilla sugar until foamy
  2. Preheat oven to 200 degrees
  3. Measure out flour, baking powder, lemon rind, stir in salt (add amaretto or similar)
  4. Place the dough on a greased baking sheet and turn the oven back to 180 degrees and bake the dough for 10 minutes.
  5. DO NOT SHUT OFF THE OVEN! For while the cake is baking in the oven, melt the butter in a pan, sprinkle with almond flakes and the halves of the walnut and lightly brown them, add the sugar and froth them with the milk or cream.
  6. Now the 10 minutes baking time is over and the cake is taken out of the oven and the almond nut toppings are spread on the cake and again baked for 15 minutes at 150 degrees.
