Bavarian herb of grandmother
ingredients
- white cabbage
- Oil, lard, or other fat
- onion
- salt
- pepper
- Cider, white wine, or balsamic vinegar
- Apple
- (Minced meat is best half and half)
?Preparation
- I did not write a lot about it because I think anyone can judge for themselves.
- Cabbage, apple and the onion are finely sliced or cut by hand, let oil (fat) get hot, add the cabbage and the onion and fry nicely brown.
- Add the salt and pepper and deglaze with the cider, wine ... simply add a ground cover. Cook with the pot closed for 30-40 minutes on a low heat. At the end, taste them as you like, maybe you can add a bouillon cube.
- In addition there are potatoes and roast with sauce.
My variant
Instead of cabbage rolls I prefer to make the Bavarian cabbage with minced meat for a long time. Then I fry the minced meat until it is brown, then just add the other ingredients. Here also mashed potatoes, is quite something delicious.
