Blind baking of cake bottoms with a trick save

Blind baking means to cover and bake a "cake dish", ie the so-called cake base, in a baking dish with dry bean kernels. So the bottom stays flat, otherwise it would be uneven.

With a little trick you can save yourself the blind baking:

You roll out the dough and do not place it in the cake pan, but turn the cake pan over and place the dough plate on the back of the greased mold and pinch the rim.

After baking you can take down the finished cake bottom. Nothing bulges, the floor is nice and flat. After cooling, you can fill it with fruits or a solid cream depending on your taste.
