Chopped pistachios get cheaper for baking

Unsalted, chopped pistachios for baking are very expensive. Much cheaper are the whole pistachios, but still stuck in the shell and salted are mainly.

Since the price difference is immense, I have tried the following (I knew of almonds):

Peel pistachios first, then brew with boiling water, let simmer briefly. Then you can easily "flips" the green core out of the cuticle. The best: This is the salt taste gone.

Now roughly chop, done.
