DIY cat hammock
One of our cats favorite furniture is an old wooden ladder. In order to give them a comfortable berth, I came up with the idea to make a swing for them. Coincidentally I found the Ikall Kallax hanging storage made of fabric with snap fasteners, which fits perfectly with our ladder. Since then, especially our cat is always there to find as soon as the ladder is set up. Since I like this system a lot and I wanted to make it possible for the cats to have a nice hammock in other places as well, I simply made other suspensions of this kind myself.
Required materials
- 1 towel or 1 piece of fabric in the desired size
- 2 old / unneeded belts or 2 pieces of a fixed band / strap made of non-slip material

- On the short sides of the towel / fabric, a belt / band is placed in each case and the fabric is folded over and just staked out.
- Along the belt / tape is then sewn (preferably with a sewing machine), also as close as possible. (For a fabric band, it would be an advantage to sew in the band, ie to sew it over the band to fix it.)
- Now the hanging swing is already finished and ready for use, as soon as it has been fixed well at the desired location!
We have the funny hammock temporarily mounted on armchairs. No matter where she hangs, the cats immediately make themselves comfortable in it. It serves not only as a resort, but also as a place for gymnastics and games :-)
